A Legendary Ball - The Anna Ball of Balatonfüred -

Tradition has it that the first Anna Ball was held in Balatonfüred in 1825, about 200 years ago. Over the course of its history, the elegant mid-summer ball has become an increasingly important social event. The Ball is frequented by actors, writers, and other well-known socialites. To this very day, it is known as one of the most famous social dance events in Hungary. In 1862, a new tradition was established that continues to this day: every year, a vote is cast for the Belle of the Anna Ball.

The Heir’s Watch - (Treasure) Hunting in Keszthely -

In September 1888, Count Tasziló Festetics invited one of his old schoolmates and friends to his palace in Keszthely. The guest was none other than the future King Of England, Edward VII. Their stay here included a number of hunting outings.

Prince Edward lost his gold watch while galloping during the hunt. Hoping for a reward, seven people show up, each one hour after the other. Which one could be the real watch? Solve the puzzles to find out which watch belongs to the Prince and who deserves the reward.

Letters to the Far Side of the Lake - The golden age of boating in Boglár -

The first regular boat services were established between Balatonboglár and Révfülöp more than 150 years ago, in 1872. And the ferry towed by a barge – which is still on display in the harbor in Balatonboglár – transported more than just the aristocracy: it also carried the mail.

As the boat on Lake Balaton was about to depart, the postman from Balatonboglár suddenly fell ill. He was replaced by a new postman who wasn’t familiar with the locals. Help him properly address the envelopes!
